Dr Nathan Bossoh is a musician, curator, and historian specialising in science and its intersections with empire, religion, and material knowledge in Anglophone West Africa. His research follows two primary pathways: firstly, the application of material approaches to history - particularly through the investigation of colonial museum collections - to underscore the significance of African Indigenous expertise in the making of modern science. And secondly, uncovering the contributions of numerous currently overlooked Black scientists in the history of Britain.
